I have never been a huge sports fan, but working in a bar that’s all we tend to talk about. Lately, I have been hearing a ton about racing.
With the Sebring event weekend underway, I thought I would come up with some tips for those of us less seasoned when it comes to car racing. By the way, you can tune into the Sebring event weekend from March 15-18th, from 12:30pm-11:00 pm.
Here are my 3 tips to enjoying the IMSA races like a pro.
1. Watch with someone who knows what’s going on, and won’t mind answering questions. As I said, I work in a bar, and enjoying sports is all about understanding what is happening. If you have someone you can talk to that will help you understand the race and its rules you will enjoy it much more.
2. Brush up on exactly what IMSA Racing is. IMSA Racing is all about high-tech, race cars from the world’s top auto manufacturers, exciting racetracks, and historic events like the historic 12 Hours of Sebring and premier drivers. Create excitement around some of your favorite big name cars including Acura, Audi, Aston Martin, BMW, Cadillac, Ferrari, Ford, Lamborghini, Lexus, Mercedes, Nissan, and Porsche, as they go head to head! You can get more info here.
3. Know what channel to watch. You can tune into to FS1 to watch and enjoy the race.
As this will be my first year tuning in, these are my tips as a noobie. I hope you tune in also, there are some great cars and drivers out there. IMSA racing is a unique and exciting organization with all the best parts of F1, NASCAR and Indy Car racing all in one place! IMSA features some of the fastest, top of the line unique cars going head to head on some of the world’s best tracks.
