Peeps Bunny / How to Flatten for Print then Cut in Cricut Design Space

  1. Gather all of your supplies for the Peeps Treat Box.
  2. Grab the Free SVG files above and upload the file to Cricut Design Space.
  3. Ungroup the layers so you can work on each layer individually. Now select the peep bunny tag layer and add your favorite font and/or phrase using the text and feature in the design space and change the color to the color paper you are using.
  4. Align the text on top of the tag layer. Select both layers and once you have it positioned where you want it, click flatten to create a print and cut layer.
  5. Hit continue and print. Once the print is complete, place it onto your blue mat and then adjust your material for cutting. Press cut on the machine.

How to Score in Cricut Design Space/Box Sleeve

  1. Find the layer that contains all the scoring lines. Underline type on the top left toolbar, click the drop-down and hit score.
  2. Select both the cut layer and score layer and hit the “attach” feature on the layers panel before hitting make it. Attaching will ensure that the scoring lines will be on the same mat as our cutting layer and keep both together.
  3. Next, click make and this is how your mat should look if score lines have been properly attached.
  4. If all looks correct, hit continue and adjust your material, more pressure, and if using a scoring stylus instead of scoring wheel be sure to let your machine know under edit tools.
  5. Load the card stock on to a blue light grip mat and hit go.

TREAT HOUSING

  1. For the next layer repeat each step as the box sleeve. This layer is the box the treats will sit in. Find the layer that contains all the scoring lines. Underline type on the top left toolbar, click the drop-down and hit score.
  2. Select both the cut layer and score layer and hit the “attach” feature on the layers panel before hitting make it.
  3. Now, hit make it. If all looks correct, click continue and select your material. Load the card stock on to a blue light grip mat and hit go.
  4. Now, turn the acetate rectangle on in the layers panel and turn off all the other layers. Hit make and load a sheet of acetate onto a blue light grip mat.

ASSEMBLY

  1. Once all pieces are cut, begin folding all the score lines before creating the box.
  2. On the treat housing panel, being to glue the two square side tabs to a longer tab to create the walls to the box. Repeat on the opposite side. Once finished, you will have the bottom of the box which will hold the peeps in place.
  3. Glue the acetate rectangle/window onto the inside of the sleeve panel around the open rectangle that was previously cut. Allow the window to fully dry before assembling the sleeve.
  4. The scotch quick dry glue IS non-toxic and water-based but if you prefer to use a different food-safe glue please do. Hot glue works just as well if needing an alternative option.
  5. Add glue to the outermost tab and begin to close up the sleeve. Add your peeps into the treat housing box and slide it inside of the sleeve using the window as a guide to reveal the peeps.
  6. Add a ribbon around the width of the box to secure the housing in place and attach the peep tag previously created with fun fonts, colors, and phrases. The peep treat box is complete!
