If you are a fan of watermelon and jolly ranchers, then you will swoon over this watermelon jolly rancher infused frozen margarita. Cool off on a hot summer day with this frozen margarita that is bursting with watermelon flavor. Let me tell you all, this drink is outrageous. Every time I make these for friends when we have get-togethers, there is none left. Everyone just drinks it right up, they are so addictive. Frozen boozy cocktails are a favorite of mine, and this watermelon frozen margarita is the show stopper of the season.
These frozen watermelon jolly rancher margaritas are simple to make and just require 4 ingredients! Nothing over the top on prep, you simply crush up your watermelon jolly ranchers and mix with the tequila. Allow it to dissolve, and then add lime juice, simple syrup, and ice and blend away. You come out with a frozen drink that you can serve up with your bbq dinner or sip on as the sun goes down.
Yes, you can use any flavor of hard candies to make frozen margaritas, I just prefer watermelon. But grab cherry, grape, green apple, or whatever else your heart desires. I also really like grape, I find that it is a great fit for the hotter months out of the year. Another huge perk with this cocktail is that it is cheap to make. The most expensive item is the vodka, but still really affordable because not much goes into them!
Kid-Friendly Version to Watermelon Jolly Rancher Mocktails
So if you will have kids around and want to offer them a version of the drink but of course with no alcohol, I have directions for that. Just dissolve the jolly ranchers in a cup of water in replace of tequila. Then grab some lemon-lime soda and use in replace of the simple syrup. Blend with ice and they have their own mocktail that they can sip on and feel apart of the party as well.
These are a pretty sweet drink, as the ice melts they become a bit less intense in flavor. I am the type that likes a good punch when you sip on your drinks, and these infused frozen margaritas do just that.
