On those nice summer nights where an adult beverage sounds like it would hit the spot, whip up this Vodka Keto Mojito which is a low carb cocktail.
It is easy for people to not consider the sugar in drinks when they start watching carbs. Most keto cocktails are loaded with a lot of sugar, but with keto cocktails like Vodka Keto Mojito, it allows you to have a refreshing cocktail and stay sugar free.
If you are following the ketogenic diet then consider making a batch of these mojitos for your next summer party.
If you have never made a cocktail before, don't be scared it really is easy to make and you will love making them whenever you get a craving.
You want to muddle the fresh mint in a glass, this will help really release all the naturals oils in the mint and add so much flavor to your mojito.
Lime juice, a hint of mint, and some sweet paired next to the vodka really make this one popular drink.
I really like using Splenda but you can find other sweeteners to use that are on the keto diet if you prefer the taste of another sweetener.
If you count the carbs in alcohol Splenda is a better route to go on a low carb diet. This recipe only has 2 grams of carbs net!
What Exactly Is A Low Carb Mojito
Mojitos are an adult beverage that uses rum as the base for alcohol in most cases. Some people, like myself, reach for a vodka mojito because it tastes so much better.
You create a simple syrup, toss in some mint leaves, club soda and serve over ice.
Now since this is a keto cocktail, we don't want to use a syrup, that wouldn't be keto-friendly.
So I went to the drawing board and make a drink that gives you that sweetness that mojitos offer without the carb overload.
Low Carb Cocktails
I have really begun trying to make all my cocktails I whip up to be low carb and I count the net carbs.
When eating low carb, you really want to make sure you're not drinking all my carbs.
I find that keto cocktails taste just as good as a regular cocktail just way less net carbs. I am not missing or still holding on to the flavors of the drinks I used to have here and there.
Ketogenic Diet Cocktails
Within minutes you can have this drink served up for you or your guests.
Just muddle the mint leaves with the lime and Splenda, then fill an 8-ounce cup with ice, vodka, and top with club soda.
Crisp, sweet, tangy, and absolutely refreshing. I love making a drink up and sitting out on the deck and watching the sun go down.
If you have a garden consider planting some mint this year. It is great to use for garnishing dishes, drinks like keto cocktails, or even use in a recipe. I love mint and try to incorporate it where I can.
