Can You Cook Garlic In The Air Fryer?

Making roast garlic is an easy and quick task for anyone. Garlic cloves are the perfect embellishment for so many of the meals you make but they can also be enjoyed alone.

Using your air fryer to make roasted garlic can leave you with mouth-watering food that will melt in your mouth once you take a bite. 

You will only need three ingredients and your air fryer to perfect it! The wait may seem a bit long once you start smelling your garlic cooking but it will definitely be worth it!

Some people are not sure if they should peel the garlic cloves before roasting them and I have an answer for you. If you separate your cloves instead of roasting them whole, you will have no need to peel your garlic.

The outside of your roasted garlic will be soft and look lightly browned once they are ready to be eaten. The steps are simple and the result is scrumptious!

You can throw your completed garlic on your plate to enjoy as a side with a larger meal or simply eat the garlic the way it is. There are many possibilities ans it all is based on your preference.

What Can I Use Air Fryer Roasted Garlic for?

You can use your roasted garlic on many things. Put your leftover roasted garlic in an airtight container or jar and toss in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. 

Some of the things I use my air fryer roasted garlic for is:

  • potatoes
  • vegetables
  • pizza
  • cauliflower mash
  • in salad dressing
  • pasta dishes
  • sauces and marinades
  • spread on a toasted baguette
  • sometimes I take a spoon and drizzle it over my salads.

Roasted garlic is very healthy and beneficial for you! Eating garlic that has been roasted will taste delicious and will melt in your mouth and has the same creaminess of butter, but the great taste is not the only benefit of eating this garlic.

Garlic does so many great things for you and your body. It can lower your cholesterol, protect against heart disease, and even bring strength to all fo your bones and joints.

I have never heard of something that can be so delicious and so good for you as well! With your air fryer, you can enjoy your own life-saving roasted garlic.

Can Minced Garlic Be Roasted

Yes! You can roast minced garlic but you will want to be careful about how long you cook it and at what temperature.

You do not want to risk burning the inside of the tender garlic so you will want to check on it occasionally while it is cooking.

How To Make Roasted Garlic In The Air Fryer

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 16 minutes
Total Time: 21 minutes

Ingredients

  • raw garlic bulbs
  • olive oil or avocado oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer oven to 390 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Tear off a sheet of foil.
  3. Slice off the top of the garlic bulb and place it head side up in the middle of the foil.
  4. Drizzle the head of garlic with extra virgin olive oil and season with salt.
  5. Wrap the aluminum foil around each head of garlic to lightly seal.
  6. Place them in a single layer in the air fryer basket or oven rack. 
  7. Air fry for approximately 16-20 minutes until golden and soft.
  8. Let cool before handling.
  9. Once cool, you can remove them from the foil packets and squeeze out the roasted garlic cloves.
