My Taco Bell Crunchwrap Recipe the air fryer is probably 1 of the best recipes I have made. The air fryer gives the outer shell an amazing golden brown color and the most perfect crunch just like you get when you order one at Taco Bell.
This copycat recipe was an absolute home run and an all-time favorite recipe for our family. Seasoned ground beef, corn tortilla, sour cream, tons of ooey gooey cheese, and more wrapped in a flour tortilla.
How To Make Taco Bell's Crunchwrap Supreme?
You are going to brown some beef in a large skillet and add in taco seasoning mix. Then assemble your homemade Crunchwrap supreme with ripe tomatoes, crunchy tostada, Mexican cheese, warm nacho cheese sauce, and the rest of the ingredients.
Spritz the air fryer rack with a little olive oil and cook. Top with a little low-fat sour cream and crispy lettuce. The best part is that since you are making this at home, you can add in things like more chili powder, or refried beans.
Sometimes I like to add in black beans and pico.
However, you do it these homemade crunch wraps are way better than the real thing. The beauty of this recipe is it is so quick to make.
Just two minutes on each side and that is all it takes to cook it in your Air Fryer. The Air Fryer circulates really high heat air all over in the machine, and that is what gives your food that fried texture and taste, all by using air.
It is a magical kitchen gadget that I highly recommend trying.
Above all, it allows you to really create healthier versions of your favorite dishes and help cut out empty calories we don't need.
These crunchwraps had the perfect texture. Because the air fryer circulates the heat to cook things perfectly. I am not sure the oven recipe would have turned out as good.
We eat Taco Bell but I don't eat there that often. But because I have kids, I work, and it is hard to find the time to get out. So making a favorite of mine from their at-home works and it is a bit healthier.
You can certainly substitute ground turkey in this Crunchwrap Recipe, for the beef but know it will change the flavor a bit. I have used ground turkey in the past and didn't notice a huge difference.
Then use your favorite stuffing items. For instance, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream, and wrap it up and toss in in the Air Fryer to bake away.
What Is In A Taco Bell Crunchwrap?
- large flour tortillas
- tostada shells
- cooking spray
- ground beef
- nacho cheese
- sour cream
- shredded lettuce
- shredded cheese
You can also add bell pepper to the ground beef. You will want to cook the beef fully also, until it is no longer pink.
As soon as you pull it out be prepared to wipe the drool from your mouth. They are just a home run recipe that your entire family will like.
Even picky eaters have been known to gobble these up. Feel free to tweak the filling to fit everyone's taste buds.
My Air Fryer Taco Bell Crunchwrap Recipe is so much better than the fast-food recipe.
There is nacho cheese sauce, a thin layer of sour cream, large tortilla, you crumble the ground beef and add it and more.
Prepare ground beef, lay a flour tortilla flat. fill with beef, nacho cheese, tostada, sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes, and close.
Fold in the flour tortilla creating a pinwheel type closure. Cook fold side down first.
Air Fryer Taco Bell Crunchwrap Recipe
First put your tortilla on a flat surface, add all ingredients and fold the edge up and over, continue to work until you have added all ingredients.
You can, certainly, spray a large nonstick skillet and cook in there. TO clarify, make sure you put the crunchwrap seam side down and cook first. And once it's ready, carefully flip.
How do you reheat an Air Fryer crunchwrap?
To reheat, just toss it back in the air fryer for a few minutes making sure to flip it halfway through. So many people ask often why I love my Air Fryer so much, and I have many reasons!
This recipe is so much healthier alternative to cooking that gives you that crunch factor like it was deep-fried, and only a teaspoon or so of oil was used.
It is easy, cooks food quick, allows me to indulge without the endless carbs, and easy to use. Those skim the surface as to why I love my Air Fryer.
If you are debating getting one, I highly recommend buying one, I don't think you will regret it!
Your Copy Cat Taco Bell Crunch Wraps recipe sounds and looks wonderful but one of your ingredients has me stumped. What are tostadas? Is it a flat baked corn tortilla?
Yes, a tostada is a baked flat corn tortilla. I've made similar things before using broken up taco shells. I'd also suggest filling your soft tortilla carefully, and not trying too hard to match the exact amounts given since different brands make different sized tortillas.
Recipe looks very nice and I may try it one of these days. One technical thing tostadas are traditionally fried not baked, though I bake my own at 400 for 4 min per side with a little oil rubbed on each side.
Oh yum, this looks really good. Thanks for sharing the recipe 🙂
Where does the tostada come into play? its not mentioned in the recipe directions?
Third line down in the directions.
Sounds amazing until you look at the calories!
These copycat Taco Bell Crunchwrap are amazing! I made them for dinner tonight and they tasted exactly like the Taco Bell crunchwraps. A tip I used was to use the Taco Bell taco seasoning to make it taste as much as the real one as possible. Highly recommend, very tasty.
So glad you like em!
I just made some. Yummy. But, I'd make 2 small changes, put the tostada down first (more support to eat by hand), and use a little less meat.
I already love my air fryer, now I have another reason to love it more with your recipe for the wraps, thanks. What I make often is air fried pineapple, whole and on the rotisserie, yes, mine has a great rotisserie! I'm making a chicken with it tonight. I use to use my Instant, almost to the exclusive factor (actually, I have two of them). But, with the air fryer I've branched out. Thanks for the great recipe.
I just got the over! I can’t wait to do a whole chicken!
This is fantastic! So easy and turns out just like the pictures. My family loved this one. Huge hit!
I am wondering if the 84 grams of fat/1400+ calories is the entire serving amount instead of for just one serving. That seems really high for one crunch wrap. How many crunch wraps does this recipe make?
The recipe makes 6, and I have updated and it is now accurate for 1 wrap. It is still very high in calories.
Surfed to find a new chow selection to make in the air fryer tonight. Winner! Total time, comments have me excited for this new chow selection. Thanks for the post 🙂 #chowdown
Very easy recipe but "tostadas" in the ingredients had me stumped because I thought they were another recipe. When I Googled the term "tostada" I was only shown recipes with toppings like I thought. Thank you so much to commenter Kyla for clarifying what the recipe submitter meant!
I'm still confused by the tostada. So am I just putting another tortilla in the center of the wrap?

I visit everyday some web pages and sites to read articles, but this blog gives feature based content.
Wow, these were AMAZING. My husband loves Taco Bell and so I made these for him and he went nuts. I followed recipe exactly. They are HUGE. Way better than Taco Bell. The recipe is simple and easy. So tasty that I'd make them everyday if I could. Lol.
Also, I just purchased a pkg of pre-made crispy tostadas, I got them from the Dollar store! And it was the 1st time I, or probably anyone in my family has ever bought pre- made anything. But, hey, it's just 1 ingredient to make everything quicker.
Came out so tasty!!
Taco Bell has stopped making my favorite, Mexican Pizza. Make sure you tag me somehow when you do a copy cat recipe for that. 🙂
It's already done! https://by-pink.com/taco-bell-mexican-pizza
