You could easily create a lettuce wrap add cauliflower rice, black soybeans, and also, sub in ground chicken or turkey and still stay within your daily macros. And even if you aren't on a low carb diet, you can slap this on a tortilla and it is great. But if you are these cheese taco shells are great!

Keto Taco Skillet
My family loved this recipe, my kids even went back in for seconds, my youngest grabbed some tortilla chips and ate it as a dip, while I wrapped mine in lettuce and topped with guacamole and sour cream.
Versatility is what makes this a great meal for families who have 1 or 2 following the keto lifestyle and others not. My kids had no idea that this keto taco skillet was considered "diet food" and it is a great one to add to your weekly meal plans.
I can’t tell you how many times during my journey, both now and when I was working on this before, I had to make myself an LCHF meal then make a completely different meal for my kids. Ugh, that's the worst!
I started on my journey back in 2016 and fell off for quite a while. I fell off because actual planning at least for me is important when it comes to living a keto lifestyle.
And I was way too busy (not really) to make time to plan.
What really happened is I was having trouble with variety until I realized there are ways to convert “normal” recipes into something that fit my macros, and they still taste amazing.
Like this Cauliflower Fried Rice it surprisingly tastes like the real thing.
I love to top with a few diced tomatoes, sometimes I put green chilis in while I am cooking it. The chili powder gives it some amazing flavor.
You can add things like bell pepper, sour cream, even these soy black beans are great for a low carb diet and don’t forget the Mexican cheese blend.
Can you have tacos on the keto diet?
Absolutely, however not in the traditional way. This keto taco skillet is an amazing alternative. Grab a couple low carb tortillas, avocado fries or your favorite low carb food that you like to use to dip and you have an amazing taco meal!
Is Turkey Good on Keto?
Ground turkey is a great alternative to ground beef if you don’t eat red meat. And like most meats are great for keto and low carb.
