Lasagna Bites is a spin on your traditional lasagna recipe. These mini lasagna cups make an amazing party appetizer or just a fun new way to make lasagna for dinner.
Sometimes when dealing with picky kids you have to try and make mealtime fun. For some reason, my kids don't like to eat traditional lasagna but still decided to give lasagna bites a try.
I changed 2 things (from my normal lasagna cups recipes). I eliminated the lasagna noodles and used wonton wrappers and I also used ground turkey instead of ground beef.

How To Make Lasagna Bites with Wonton Wraps
In a large skillet over medium heat cook your meat, and mix with the marinara sauce. Make your cheese mixture. In a muffin tin, with cooking spray or oil layer the wontons, meat, and cheese till you get to the top of your tin.
Swapping out the lasagna noodles for wonton wraps, in these bite-size lasagna cups, cut out the step of having to boil noodles. As for the meat used, you can use whatever you like.
Italian sausage or even a meat substitute work amazingly also.

What Do I Need To Make Lasagna Cups
- spaghetti sauce
- salt and pepper
- cottage or ricotta cheese
- meat of choice
- garlic powder
- basil
- mozzarella cheese

Had my kids know that this wasn't beef that I used to make my meat sauce, they would have never touched these, but they couldn't tell the difference so it worked out in my favor.
You can substitute the cottage cheese in this recipe and use ricotta cheese. The ricotta mixture tastes amazing in these lasagna cups too!
My 5-year-old ate 4. My dad and brothers and my Grammie were also here and they loved it also. I just kept hearing how good Lasagna bites are.
Lasagna is already a favorite in most homes. And making them into bites makes it that much more amazing. These Lasagna Bites make for a great party appetizer.
They look like you spent hours making them when in reality this recipe is pretty fast and easy to make. You can also use single muffin cups in stead of a muffin tin but I personally find the muffin tin a lot easier to use for this recipe.
