Keto Diet
In case you are unfamiliar with it, let me tell you what a keto diet it. A keto diet is a diet that consists of little to no carbs.
By not taking in carbs, your body will begin to use fat as its main source of fuel for the body. Eating carb-free foods such as this keto chocolate chip chaffle will help with this.
The name comes from the state that your body goes in when it starts using fat as energy, "ketosis". This is not unhealthy for your body but, as always, you should do more research before taking it on.
Keto diets do not have to be what you imagine a regular diet to be like. There are still so many delicious things you can eat and this chocolate chip chaffle is the perfect example.
You can eat this chaffle for any meal of the day and still enjoy it. You can eat it for breakafast like you would a normal waffle or enjoy it as a dessert.
This chaffle does have a good amount of sweetener so if you have a sweet tooth, this will for sure help you curb it. Because of the sweetness, you may want to refrain from giving it to your kids for breakfast...
Chocolate Chip Chaffle
Now what the heck is a chaffle? The chocolate chip chaffle is a delicious treat and I am going to explain it to you more right now.
A chaffle is like a keto version of a waffle. Rather than using ingredients that have carbs, you will use substitutes that follow the restrictions of a keto diet.
The name makes sense when you think about it. A traditional chaffle is made with cheese and egg. The combination of cheese and waffle brings you the fun word chaffle!
There are so many different types of chaffles. The main categories are traditional and dessert chaffles. The main difference between the two would be the ingredients.
As I said, traditional chaffles have cheese, egg, and seasonings while dessert chaffles like the chocolate chip chaffle have more ingredients and more sweetness. This is what makes them so darn tasty.
Dessert chaffles have coconut flour, sweetener, and baking powder. Even though they are dessert chaffles, it does not mean you cannot enjoy them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner- I won't judge!
This chocolate chip chaffle is so delicious and will make you want to try so many more of the great chaffle recipes. There is definitely a chaffle for everyone!
