Anybody who knows me knows that I love Bath and Body Works Candles. The problem is they never burn to the very bottom and you end up with the mess below. I have been hoarding them a while, then the other day I thought Why not do some DIY Wax Melts.
I am very proud of how my DIY Wax Melts came out, and they smell ridiculously amazing! I am truly glad that I am a secret hoarder and kept these. The jars they come in can be really handy also, I decorated a few of those. Maybe soon I will do a diy on how to clean them out.
All you need for this project is, your candles of course (they don’t have to be Bath and Body Works, any candle will do), a pot of boiling water, an ice tray (i used a silicone, decorative one like this one here), an oven mitt, tweezers and an ice cold freezer.
The video below walks you through the steps. They are also listed below the video.
- Bring your water to a boil.
- Sit your candle down in the water.
- Allow wax to melt completely.
- Carefully remove wicks with the tweezers.
- Pour wax into the mold.
- Pop in the freezer for about an hour.
- Remove from the mold and put into your warmer or store in the cleaned and empty candle jar.
Super simple right? They smell just as wonderful as the candle itself, in just my opinion, they last longer. It could just be me.
