Candles never ever burn to the end, and you some left over wax. Today you are going to learn how to make your own, low cost wax melts. All you need is your favorite candle with a bit of wax left over in it. All you need is a pot of boiling water, a silicone mold and your candle.
If you have ever purchased wax melts you know the price is a little high, at least in my opinion. The only way I can justify purchasing them now is if I have a gift card. And depending on the brand you use, they can be known to lose their scent quick.

I am a huge fan of Bath and Body Works and their everything. They offer very bold scents that truly fill your room with a magical fragrance. For this DIY I used my leftover Bath and Body Works candles but you can use any brand of candle you have. They will all work, and it is a great way to get all the scent out of your candle. I always buy B&BW when it is on sale, so I get a deal and can stock up.
Grab any silicone mold I used one that was to make little flowers. The silicone style molds are great because they are extremely flexible so once your wax has set, you can push the wax melt right out and it stays in one piece. If you were to use an iced tray that wasn’t flexible you would have a mess and tons of broken pieces of wax. This tutorial is a breeze to make, and trust me, it will leave your home smelling amazing just like your candles.
