    There are many benefits of coconut oil that just add to why we need to incorporate it more into our daily lives. When you cook with it, coconut oil can help reduce hunger, give you nutrients for your daily diet, is full of good cholesterol and the list continues.

    When you use coconut oil on your skin and hair it can create a barrier to help lock in the moisture. It also gives your hair a silky-smooth shine, to name a few. No matter how you use coconut oil, you will reap the benefits.

    Use your coconut oil for dry skin types, whether it is your hands, arms, or even legs to lock in moisture in the skin. Most importantly, a small dab of coconut oil goes a long way, and it will help hydrate your skin and give it a youthful glow.

    You can even mix it in with your favorite lotion or body cream for added value.

    Wrinkles

    If you have wrinkles grab that coconut oil! Add a dab around the eyes, lips, or forehead wherever you have the wrinkles. Leave it on through the night and then wash your face like normal. This will help reduce wrinkles and premature aging.

    Cuticle Care

    If your cuticles have seen better days try massaging in a little coconut oil into your nail beds and cuticles. It will help hydrate and lock in moisture.

    I bet you have been waiting to find out how to use coconut oil for hair. The first is a deep conditioner treatment, just apply coconut oil to the wet hair shaft and then let it sit for 20-30 minutes.

    Then wash out like normal followed by shampoo to remove any grease residue. It will give your hair a really nice shine and condition hair.

    If you fight split ends, apply a tiny dab to the end of your hair and let it sit overnight, and wash in the morning. It will help repair hair and also helps to combat a healthier scalp which will promote hair growth.

    Simply mix in equal parts of baking soda and coconut oil with a drop of peppermint essential oil. This will give you a homemade toothpaste that will clean and brighten your teeth.

    Deodorant

    Apply a tiny dab of coconut oil to your purse, shoes or other leather pieces and with a soft cloth rub it in. This will give it a nice shiny appearance and get the leather looking like new.

    Apply coconut oil to your baby's bottom to help soothe and lessen the diaper rash your little one is experiencing.

    The fatty acid in coconut oil encourage the body to burn fat. It is often used in coffee with the keto diet.

    Firstly, let me say that I am no doctor. Coconut oil's anti-fungal properties, so which makes it a great candidate to cure a yeast infection. The way to treat yeast infection, also known as candida Albicans, in the vagina, it is to add a bit to a tampon and insert it.

    If the yeast infection is in the mouth then swish a bit around in your mouth. Again, I am not a doctor so please consult your doctor before treating a vaginal yeast infection yourself.

    • Because coconut oil is high in lauric acid it helps with the swelling of acne-prone skin and oily skin.
    • Spa day massage at home.
    • Personal lubricant.
    • Apply coconut oil to cold sores to speed up the healing process. Do 2-3 times a day.
    • Use coconut oil as shaving cream for a smooth shave.
    • Remove gum from clothes, just apply a dab and rub until it removes gum.
    • Apply coconut oil to squeaky hinges.
    • Slather it on dry cracked heels.
    • Clean metal and removes rust.
    • Can be a stretch mark reducer because of its antimicrobial properties
    • Use coconut oil to loosen stuck zippers.

    I usually opt for either organic coconut oil or extra virgin coconut oil. Either will do depending on what you are looking to use them for.
