As you know I am pretty much obsessed with my Instant Pot. I have never made any sauce from scratch but decided to give Instant Pot Alfredo Sauce a shot.
Instant Pot Alfredo Sauce
At this point, I have pretty much sworn off store-bought sauces from here on out.
You can make this amazing Alfredo Sauce Recipe ahead, and have it ready when you try out my Instant Pot Chicken Alfredo Recipe
Alfredo Sauce Recipe
Using my Instant Pot for me means, cooking fresh a lot more and way less processed food. You can use fettuccine noodles instead of the penne that I use in this Instant Pot Chicken Alfredo Recipe.
The more I learn the more excited I get. I have been freezing leftovers and they taste absolutely phenomenal the second time around.
Instant Pot Alfredo
Most of the time I double the recipe for my Instant Pot Alfredo Sauce recipe and freezing half using these mason jars and these lids, it will take the work out of the next time I want something with Alfredo Sauce.
And when I am ready to use it, I just take it out that morning and it's ready by the time dinner is done. This recipe is so much better than store-bought!
Tips For Cooking Pasta In The Instant Pot
- Cook time is about half of the normal cook time printed on the box.
- Always use the quick release when cooking pasta in your pressure cooker, if you naturally release, then it is still cooking and you will end up having pasta mush.
- You can always replace the water that the Instant Pot recipe calls for chicken broth or another broth and this tip isn't just for fettuccine alfredo pasta, it applies to anything you pressure cook.
What Do I Need For Instant Pot Chicken Alfredo?

- parmesan cheese
- fresh parsley
- fresh basil
- chicken breast
- minced garlic
- and salt and pepper to taste
I want to try this, but I have a question. If I cook the shrimp for 15 minutes, won't it be overdone and tough?
Min. Was perfect
I just got an instant pot. Does the chicken need to be pre-cooked or is it put in raw?
Oh. My. Word! Delicious!
Omg.... this is SO good. Thought I had jars in my pantry, didn’t, so I went to the store down the road, none! I found this recipe....I am never using Alfredo sauce from a jar again!
I'm so glad you liked it!
