Instant Pot Alfredo Sauce
As you know I am pretty much obsessed with my Instant Pot. I have never made any sauce from scratch but decided to give Alfredo Sauce a shot.
At this point, I have pretty much sworn off store-bought sauces from here on out. Using my Instant Pot for me means, cooking fresh a lot more and way less processed food. For Instant Pot Shrimp, Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo using this sauce, go here.
The more I learn the more excited I get. I have been freezing leftovers and they taste absolutely phenomenal the second time around. I hope you try this awesome recipe. I love doubling the Alfredo Sauce recipe and freezing half, it will take the work out of the next time I want something with Alfredo Sauce.
- 1 stick of butter
- 1 8 oz bar of cream cheese
- 2 c heavy cream
- 6 oz grated parmesan cheese
- 4 leaves fresh basil chopped
- 1/4 c fresh Parsley chopped
- 4 cloves of garlic minced
Press saute button
Add butter and allow to melt
Add garlic, parsley, and basil. Saute about 3 mins
Add cream cheese and allow to melt, using a whisk stir constantly
When cream cheese is melted add in parmesan, give a good stir and slowly add in heavy cream.
You can use the sauce immediately, like in the recipe above
Or freeze in mason jars using lids like the ones above
