I seriously use my Instant Pot numerous times a week. The more I use it the more I get used to it, learn new tricks, and get even more comfortable with it. If you are a bit nervous, just keep trying recipes and soon you will really be comfortable with how it works.

We used to make this exact recipe on the stove top, and I will never take that route again. I can make this in a fraction of the time with my Instant Pot and it comes out even better. The pressure when it cooks truly locks in those flavors that you are wanting.

Instant Pot Cajun Chicken Pasta with Shrimp & Sausage

Ingredients
- 2 tbs butter
- 1 pound of chicken, diced
- 1 lb smoked sausage, diagonally sliced
- 12 oz medium-sized shrimp, raw peeled, deveined, tail off
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 cups of chicken broth
- 2 cups of heavy cream
- 1 pound penne pasta, uncooked
- 2 tbs Old Bay Seasoning
- 1 tbs lemon pepper
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 9 oz of freshly shredded parmesan cheese
- 3 tbs Gourmet Garden's Lightly Dried Parsley
- 1 tbs Gourmet Garden's Lightly Dried Basil
- 2 cups water
Instructions
- Press saute and allow to heat for about 3 mins
- Add butter and allow to melt
- Add onion and garlic
- Saute chicken with the onion and garlic for a few minutes
- Sprinkle on Old Bay and Lemon Pepper
- Add in sausage
- Sprinkle on Parsley and Basil
- Stir to coat
- Turn off saute
- Add water and deglaze
- Add pasta, broth and shrimp
- Close and lock on lid, cook on manual high for 5 mins
- QR when it beeps
- Stir in cream cheese, heavy cream and parmesan
- Allow to sit a few mins before serving. The sauce will thicken as it sits.

No the chicken is raw and you sauté it. I think it’s like step 3 of the recipe.
