Here in my home, we have done one pot chicken parmesan but never in the Instant Pot check out that recipe is here. We have been on this wild mission to convert everything we can to the Instant Pot and so far so good. As a result, today I made Instant Pot Chicken Parmesan.
Making chicken parmesan in my instant pot was pretty easy and the flavor was amazing! We make it all the time now.
Instant Pot Chicken Parmesan
For those of you who have been following me, then you know I am pretty well obsessed with this thing. And I am honestly, hoping to get a second one soon and start prepping meals for the entire week using my Instant Pot.
Everything just seems easier in my pressure cooker. I cant tell you the last time I used, what's that thing called? Oh, the stove.
Pretty much, a little mad at myself for waiting so long to get one, when I think about how much time it's saving me, still get a little depressed about how much time I wasted without it. Check out the recipe below and let me know what you think.

Note: There were few clumpy noodles, I just removed them, there still were plenty left for the dish, I am going to have to try and figure out how to prevent this. All in all it still turned out amazing.

Please clarify when to add the chicken to the IP; it's listed twice.

That was an error, the recipe has been fixed.

If my chicken breasts are thawed, do you know how much to reduce cooking time? Also, what size box of pasta?
Pink
16 ounce box, and I have had people do this with thawed and use the same times.
Todd Carnes
You don't change the time. The frozen ones just take a little longer to come up to pressure.
Sarah
Do you use poultry setting high? Hats the only way I can change it to high, won't let me do it off of manual
Pink
Are you using an instant pot or another brand? When I press manual on my ip it sets to high.

We tried this recipe tonight. There are only 2 of us, so I had 1 chicken breast, and it was thawed. Since the Instant Pot manual said to cook chicken breast of 8-10 minutes, I set for 10 minutes. I used 4 oz (1/4 box) pasta, 1/4 of the jar of sauce, 1/4 the amount of water etc. It tasted good - but the chicken was tough and some of the pasta stuck together as well as sticking/burning on the bottom of the pot. Now I see in the other comments how you said to cook it the same amount of time if thawed. I didn't read that before I fixed dinner. Did you have problems with the pasta sticking together or to the pot? I could see making this again, but would like to fix those issues. Thank you for your help. Patsy
Melody
I had the same problem with the pasta sticking together.

Thanks for the recipe! I edited - I have a tendency to combine a few recipes!! I added the frozen chicken breasts, hand crushed whole tomatoes (canned), chicken broth, whole wheat thin spaghetti (broken in half), seasonings, parmesan, and fresh garlic to the instant pot. Manual for 20 minutes followed by a Quick Release. It was great! Thank you!

I tried this recipe last night and it did not work well for me. I followed the measurements and instructions you gave, but I left out some of the seasonings. The problem is I kept getting the BURN message, even after I added another cup of water. By the end it was cooked by boiling, no pressure since I had to open it so much with the repeated burn message, and a lot of it was burnt to the bottom....not sure why mine was so different, any suggestions?
Christine
I had the burn message as well. Can anyone answer this question?

I tried this recipe today in my Farberware pressure cooker. It was good. I also got some clumpy noodles. I'm thinking maybe put the noodles on first then the chicken so the noodles get all the way in the water. Anyway all in all it was very good!

Mine also kept burning. Ended having to switch to slow cooker. Hope it works.

I have a Ninja Instant Cooker and I followed your recipe and it came out perfect! No clumpy pasta either. My family loved it!

That is so awesome! I’m so glad you all liked it.
