This Strawberry Chocolate Chaffle Recipe is exactly what you have been craving for your sweet tooth while still sticking to keto, and my Strawberry Chocolate Chaffle is a perfect size and sweetness to curb those cravings.
If you like chocolate and strawberries, this is the chaffle that you need to be making! Chaffles are so simple to make to stay on track with your keto and low carb diets.
This almond flour recipe is keto-friendly however you want to have these cheese waffles in moderation.
You can make chaffles with either a Belgian waffle maker or a mini waffle maker. It really all depends on your preference. This Keto Strawberry Chocolate Chaffle is obviously a dessert chaffle, but not all chaffles are.
There are differences between making a traditional chaffle and making a dessert chaffle but not much.
Chocolate and strawberries together are my favorite dessert combination. So being able to make them like this as a stacked chaffle dessert tastes even better. It’s like having cake- but you aren’t having cake!
Strawberry Chocolate Chaffle
By chance you have not made a chaffle before, let me explain to you a little bit about what a chaffle is in the first place. There are all kinds of chaffles out there.
All of them are very similar with just minor ingredient differences. The most distinguishable difference is that traditional is typically made with cheese. This is where the name ch-affle comes from! Most dessert-style chaffles do not have cheese but that is all preference!
In order to make a chaffle, just combine your ingredients to make your batter to put into the waffle maker. Whether you use a mini waffle maker or a Belgian waffle maker is up to you. No matter the choice the waffle maker will do the work for you! It truly is just that simple.
When you make a traditional chaffle, cheese and egg will be your main ingredients. You can surely add in seasonings to the batter or whatever you would like. These are used mostly as a substitute for sandwich buns for example.
For dessert chaffles, like the Keto Strawberry Chocolate Chaffle, like I am sharing with you today, you still need an egg. The difference is simply that you will also have other ingredients to add like coconut flour, baking powder, sweetener, and sometimes cheese. Since this is going to be a dessert chaffle, it has more than just cheese and eggs!
Sweet chaffles see a bit more variety. Some dessert chaffles still include some kind of cheese, while others do not. Some include some sort of low carb flour, sweetener, spices, vanilla and more.
The add-ins that this Strawberry Chocolate Chaffle calls for is strawberries, chocolate chips, and vanilla extract. This is one of my favorite desserts because it is so simple to make and you can make as many as you would like. Family sizes vary and so chaffle desserts are a perfect way to make enough for everyone without being short or having way too much leftover.
If you love chocolate and chocolate chips then you need to also try this chocolate chip chaffle recipe. These things are addicting!
I love to top these Strawberry Chocolate Chaffles with keto ice cream. It makes for an amazing dessert or if you are feeling it for breakfast - I won’t judge!
