In this recipe, there is no rice to bring to a boil, no pre-seasoning chicken. Just soup, water, garlic, powder, salt, and pepper. Then stir, and add the chicken right on top of the rice mixture.

You can add green beans with the rice mix. Or add some heavy cream instead of water and cream of chicken soup instead of mushroom. Instead of chicken breast, you can use thighs or even turkey.

How To Make A Creamy Chicken And Rice Bake?
In a skillet mix soup and water. Stir it together well and add in the rice and spices. Stir again. If you don’t have a skillet you can also make creamy chicken and rice in a baking dish.
Prep is going to take about 15 minutes, bake for 50 and then add the cheese and rest till cheese is melted. Its a super easy recipe.

Creamy Chicken and Rice Skillet Recipe
Creamy chicken and rice is exactly what you have been looking for in an easy weeknight dinner. Serve this hearty chicken and rice recipe as a stand-alone or paired with salad greens to complete the meal.
Ingredients
- 1 can (10 1/2 ounces) Campbell’s® Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup
- 1 cup uncooked white rice
- 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Pepper
- 1/2 cup of mild cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375. And gather all of your ingredients.
- Add the Campbell’s Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup and 1 can of water to a large skillet.
- Stir together well.
- Now add in rice, garlic powder, and salt and pepper.
- Stir again.
- Place your chicken breasts on top of the rice and soup mixture.
- Bake 50 minutes till rice is tender and chicken is cooked through.
- Remove from oven and top with cheese.
- Allow to rest for about 5 minutes until cheese melts and serve.
Notes
Serve up this creamy chicken and rice with a side of veggies or salad greens.
