Creamy Chicken and rice is an easy weeknight go-to meal. With only 4 main ingredients and spices, you have a creamy chicken and rice casserole skillet type meal.

In this recipe, there is no rice to bring to a boil, no pre-seasoning chicken. Just soup, water, garlic, powder, salt, and pepper. Then stir, and add the chicken right on top of the rice mixture.

What are some things I can add to this Creamy Chicken And Rice Recipe?

You can add green beans with the rice mix. Or add some heavy cream instead of water and cream of chicken soup instead of mushroom. Instead of chicken breast, you can use thighs or even turkey.

You can switch up a lot of things to make it your own amazing creation. And its less then 30 minutes of prep time to make this chicken and rice dish.

How To Make A Creamy Chicken And Rice Bake?

In a skillet mix soup and water. Stir it together well and add in the rice and spices. Stir again. If you don’t have a skillet you can also make creamy chicken and rice in a baking dish.

Prep is going to take about 15 minutes, bake for 50 and then add the cheese and rest till cheese is melted. Its a super easy recipe.

Creamy chicken and rice is exactly what you have been looking for in an easy weeknight dinner. Serve this hearty chicken and rice recipe as a stand-alone or paired with salad greens to complete the meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (10 1/2 ounces) Campbell’s® Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 1 cup uncooked white rice
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper
  • 1/2 cup of mild cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375. And gather all of your ingredients. ingredients for creamy chicken and rice
  2. Add the Campbell’s Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup and 1 can of water to a large skillet. stirring cream of mushroom soup in a skiller
  3. Stir together well. cream of mushroom soup and water in a skillet
  4. Now add in rice, garlic powder, and salt and pepper. cream of mushroom soup in a skillet with rice poured in
  5. Stir again. rice with campbells cream of mushroom soup being stirred in a skillet
  6. Place your chicken breasts on top of the rice and soup mixture. raw chicken on top of rice in a skillet
  7. Bake 50 minutes till rice is tender and chicken is cooked through. creamy chicken and rice just from the oven
  8. Remove from oven and top with cheese. chredded cheese on top of precooked chicken and rice in a skillet
  9. Allow to rest for about 5 minutes until cheese melts and serve. chicken and rice in a skillet with melted cheese over it
