How To Make No Sew Bows with The Cricut Maker
When I made these bows, I decided to do a video, because sometimes putting together 3D projects from Cricut design space can be hard, for lack of clear instructions on how to put them together.
I needed a bow for this adorable personalized stuffed elephant. I didn't want to buy one, because 1. My Cricut maker and that rotary blade is everything and 2. I have tons of fabric scraps that I really need to do something with because let's face it, I have a hard time throwing things out.
I love my Cricut Maker cuts virtually any fabric and also cuts hundreds of materials too.
You can cut.
- balsa wood
- basswood
- delicate fabrics
- vinyl
- paper
- and so many more materials
There are so many Cricut maker features, there's just isn't enough time to go through them all.
It also has an adaptive tool system, meaning it can detect whether you are using the knife blade or fine point blade or something else.
The rotary blade makes the Cricut Maker Machine cuts sewing patterns, leather and more.
For this bow tutorial you can ditch the sewing machine all you need for this project is:
- fabric fat quarters
- heat n bond
- design space software
- EasyPress 2
- Cricut Machine
- Glue Gun and hot glue
You could even use a plain fabric and decorate it yourself with vinyl iron on or infusible inks.
I have saved you the time of having to go find the bows, you can sign up below for my newsletter to gain access to both bows. I hope you enjoy this easy no sew hair bow with the Cricut maker.

Materials
- fabric fat quarters
- heat n bond
- design space software
Instructions
You can see a video here how to affix the 2 fat quarters with the heat n bond.
- Set your EasyPress to 305
- Using your easy press 2 press out the lines and wrinkles from your fabric
- Place the WRONG side of your fabric on the rough side of your heat and bond
- Heat with the EasyPress 2 for a few seconds moving it around similar to how you would with an iron
- Set aside, allowing to cool completely
Pinch the ends of the fabric and glue them to the centers.
Once both ends are glued, create a little fold in the middle by punching the fabric and glue.
- Hold a few seconds and allow the glue to cool.
Wrap the smaller piece around where you bunched and glue down.
- Take the piece that is to be the "ends" and bunch it a little.
- Apply a little dot of glue.
- Glue the bow to the top of the "ends"
- See video for more help.
